Locorotondo—Alberobello—Matera—Salerno
Jun. 1st, 2005 11:02 pmI get gradually used to the ultimate raw food (is this the English for "syroedenije"?) dinners; i.e. a dozen of pomodorini as a main course, and then, say, peaches, apricots and sweet cherries as a dessert till I can't see them any more. It's even cheaper then a piece of pizza.
Generally, the ideal day goes like this: tea with brioche in the morning, the mentioned vegetarian meal in the afternoon, and some pizza with a bottle of white wine in the evening. The bottle of wine is essential if you're on a budget: after consuming it you can spend a night on a bench without any problems. I checked that in Bari.
The most important thing is to try to make all these meals in the different towns.
